Ice Magic Festival
Lake Louise, AB, Canada
Mid January - Annual Event

The Lake Louise Ski Resort is not only known for excellent winter and summer activities, it's also host of the Magic Ice Festival - an ice sculpture competition sanctioned by the National Ice Carving Association (NICA).
Teams of two carvers have 15 blocks of ice, weighing 300lb each, which they must transform into seven-foot tall world-class ice sculptures in just three days.
The Lake Louise Inn hosts the "One Carver One Hour One Block" event, where individual carvers race against the clock.
The "Little Chippers Festival" for Kids is held at the Samson Mall of Lake Louise Village - a fun family event.
Although the Magic Ice Festival is held each year during one weekend around January 20th, the ice sculptures can be enjoyed until Mother Nature takes them away.
