International Sand Sculpture Festival "Pinocchio"

Each year mid summer the theme based International Sand Sculpture Festival takes place at the Jesolo Beach, just a hence race away from Venice, Italy.

"Sculture di Sabbia" has become a fixture at Italians Summer Festivals.

This is a spectacular show of extraordinary sand sculptures. Each Jesolo International Sand Sculpture Festival in the past has produced monumental works of sand art. The Sand Sculpture Festival themes are as diverse as "Pinocchio", "Dante's Inferno", "Visions of Africa", "Hollywood", "The Wild West" - even "China and the Olympics" amongst others.

Sand Sculptors from around the world demonstrate their outstanding skills and carve major works of sand art in just two weeks after an initial planning time of total 10 weeks.
