The golden glory of Golden

Hi Fida, your friend Maggy here. You 'forced' me to take the route via the Columbia Valley, and how could I say no since I want to keep you as a friend ;)

For the first time I actually realized how beautiful Golden, the 'door to the Columbia Valley' is. I am not sure where it got its name from but I imagine the intense yellow fall foliage has something to do with it. You are the researcher, get at it girlfriend and let me know. I never really noticed the beauty before - it was just a place to stop, fill up the gas tank, grab a bite to eat and then continue the trip.

I even stopped in at the hot springs in Radium. Wouldn't that be the place for our next girlfriend getaway?

Anyway, if you continue to force me doing things like that I might even become a travel nut like you;)

Excuse me Darling, where are the photos? Obviously I didn't do a good job training you ;)

Glad you arrived save and sound. Doesn't it make that long trip much more fun when you finally open your eyes... (I can safely punch you now since you are far away).

OK then, since you asked so nicely I will check the origins of the name Golden. Don't get too excited though, this will be just a onetime favour - I am not here to do your homework;)

By the way, why are you so taken by Golden? You don't even mention the the Columbia Valley! Glad you mentioned Radium or I would have accused you of not even taking the route through the Columbia valley!
